Garstang Town
A section of Garstang and Knott End trackbed has been taken over by gardens just to the west of Garstang Town, but one enterprising householder bought a lengthy parcel of land after the 1963 final closure, leading to a very long, but thin, garden. Beyond this fence the trackbed is all in private ownership but this photo was taken from a small piece of public open space, with the now blocked up railway bridge under the A6 road behind. 21st March 2020, ten days before the 90th anniversary of the end of passenger services.
