Lingerwood Junction [2nd]
Looking south from Lingerwood Junction on the Easthouses Tramway on 16 September 1969. Part of Lingerwood Pit, closed two years earlier, can be seen in the left background beyond the small locomotive shed which accommodated the Hunslet narrow gauge diesels. The centre of the picture is dominated by the tall chimney of the former brickworks, with the overgrown kiln bank stretching towards the camera. The line turning off to the right runs to the discharge point at Lady Victoria. The system's signal box was to the right.
