Baker Street [Met]

LUL S8 stock with a Metropolitan Line service terminating in the west side bay platform at Baker Street station, on 28th November 2012. The original platforms on the world's first Underground, the Metropolitan Railway, opened in 1863 but this side of the station, on the north, was added in 1868 with the first stage of the Metropolitan Extension Railway and which diverges from the original line just to the east of the 1863 platforms. The extension station has two through platforms for trains to and from Aldgate plus two bays for short workings, this one on the west side and the other on the east.
