Easthouses Extension Pit
Looking west over the site of the Easthouses Extension Pit in September 2019. Closed down in 1969, the location has since become Easthouses Industrial Estate. The tall building was constructed by the NCB as part of the modernisation programme in 1953. It contained the water tank, boilers etc supplying the new pithead baths.
