North Queensferry [1st]

The first North Queensferry station found itself redundant when the Forth Bridge opened in 1890 and the station closed that year. Whether it closed the same day I don't know, but I do know that 74 years later the ferries here ceased the day the Forth Road Bridge opened. The pier is behind me (still known as Railway Pier), the station was here and the line went under the road in the background before going into a tunnel on the way to Inverkeithing.
