Torrington

The scene at Torrington in June 1984, a little under two years after the last clay train had passed through. By this time the weeds had taken hold although the track was still down and the former station building had been taken over and established as a Public House - The Puffing Billy. Track lifting had just started when this shot was taken - with the lifting squad working from Meeth north towards Barnstaple.
