Kyle of Lochalsh

158712 now arrived at Kyle of Lochalsh with the ex-10.56 service from Inverness, on time at 13.35, on 18th June 2019. It will form the 13.46 return service to Inverness. This station opened on 2nd November 1897 with the extension of the line from Stromeferry, which had been reached from Dingwall more than two decades earlier on 19th August 1870. This was only my second ride on the line and visit to this station, the first was 45 years earlier on a weekend LCGB Railtour from Euston that arrived on 6th April 1974.
