Stirling

Class 101 and 107 DMUs side by side in platforms 8 and 9 at Stirling in April 1989. These units were providing an hourly all stations service between Stirling and Edinburgh. There was also an interspersed all stations service which ran hourly between Dunblane and Edinburgh which used platforms 2 (down) and 3 (up). From May 1989, the Stirling - Edinburgh shuttles were extended to start and stop at Dunblane, giving Dunblane a half hourly service to Edinburgh and leaving platforms 8 and 9 relatively quiet until reopening of Alloa line became imminent.
