Blackridge

A mid morning train from Helensburgh Central calls at a grey and misty Blackridge, West Lothian, in September 2011 on its journey to Edinburgh. The embankment running across the centre of the picture once carried the mineral line from Blackrigg No 2 Colliery (closed 1955) which joined the main line at Woodend Junction just up ahead.
