Bathgate STVA Aborted Siding

The line that never was. A Newcraighall train passing a recently installed junction half a mile east of Bathgate station on 31 July 2008. The junction was originally intended to provide a link into a relocated STVA car terminal, with the existing STVA site (see image 18357) earmarked to accommodate a new ScotRail light maintenance depot. The relocation project was subsequently abandoned and the STVA Bathgate operation closed down.
