Galawhistle Pit
Above Glenbuck at the site of the Davie pit looking down the incline to the Galawhistle pit in July 1967. The trackbed of the standard gauge line from Coalburn can be seen in the middle distance. Both pits had been closed for around 60 years when this photograph was taken. Area probably now unrecognisable due to opencast mining. (Confirmed).
