Coppull Hall Sidings

The density of silver birch means that this view is really only possible over winter. Taken from where Coppull Hall Sidings and Chisnall Hall Colliery line approached the main line, to the south of Coppull Hall Sidings SB. An interesting 'modern' find in the undergrowth is a 1970s 'Danger Overhead Wires' sign. The Class 319 is heading to Preston and Blackpool as it approaches the minor summit between Wigan and Coppull.
