Musselburgh

A rarely seen view of Musselburgh station car park. No cars. Taken early on a Sunday morning in the summer of 2010 looking south east. The pedestrian stairway from Whitehill Farm Road is straight ahead, while access to the northbound platform is via the steps centre left. The stone arch spans the ECML, while the plate girder bridge once spanned the parallel route shared by NB freight and Lothian Lines traffic between Wanton Walls and Monktonhall junctions. The trackbed of the latter is now heavily overgrown and fenced off at this point.
