Galgate
West Coast 57601 heads a Saltburn Railtours excursion returning from Llandudno at Hampson Lane near Galgate on 2nd July 2018. The interesting outbound route on 29th June had included Toton, Castle Donington, Alrewas and Telford. This leg was routed over Shap and the S&C but although the train was almost on time at this point something serious must have transpired as it left Carnforth three hours late behind a different loco. Eventual arrival in Saltburn however was only 34 minutes behind schedule.
