Edinburgh Waverley
The rear of the Virgin East Coast 1000 Edinburgh Waverley - London Kings Cross about to enter the Calton Tunnel on 19 April 2018, shortly after commencing its journey south. The steep stone stairway above the trailing vehicle is Jacob's Ladder, linking Calton Road with Regent Terrace. At the time of the photograph the route was closed off as part of a long planned refurbishment programme.
