Lochend Junction
The signal box of the onetime Lochend South Junction, later Lochend Junction, would have occupied the centre of this picture, with double tracks in each side. In the foreground was the cord linking the Abbeyhill loop with the Leith Central branch at Lochend North (to the right). There were various sidings fitted in too. Today the single disused track of the Powderhall branch remains.
