Corkickle Brake
Over thirty years of vegetation growth has completely covered most of the actual Corkickle Brake incline but right at the foot this small building survives next to the Meadow View road bridge. Presumably this was where the men connecting and disconnecting the wagons to the cable were based. Beyond here the tracks fanned out into the exchange sidings, again now heavily overgrown, where a BR shunter sorted the incoming and outgoing wagons. 13th March 2018.
