Penmaenpool

Friday the 13th, lunchtime, a miserable wet and cold day and unfortunately no time to stop at the hotel for a warm up. Penmaenpool is a hamlet on the south side of estuary of the River Mawddach in Wales, near Dolgellau. The former trackbed through the site is now in use as a footpath, the Llwybr Mawddach or Mawddach Trail. This view looks towards the old station site with the toll bridge on the left.
