Carnforth

Although several crew training runs took place in January 2018 the plan to use Class 68s on Cumbrian Coast services is reported to have fizzled out, for a variety of reasons, and the Class 37s continue on both diagrams. On 19th January 68003 Astute was on the rear of a two coach train that had come round the coast line and was just going into the sidings at Carnforth for a lunch stopover prior to returning. 68029 had been the lead locomotive on the outward leg. DB 66018 can also be seen stabled on the right.
