Ford Bridge

The station at Ford Bridge, to the south of Leominster, operated from 1866 to 1954. The level crossing closed after the Leominster bypass (in the foreground) opened in 1988. I once paced a cement train here while driving down the bypass - the combination of a misty night and a white dust covered train made for a spooky experience. [Ref query 23 January 2018]
