Preston PSB
Part of the panel in Preston PSB on 23 June 2011. Although somewhat lacking in character when compared to the old mechanical boxes, the panel boxes of the 60s and early 70s have far more character than the VDU screens of today. Preston PSB was approaching 40 years old when the photo was taken and looks like it will still be in service when it reaches 50, although the new signalling for the Blackpool lines electrification will be controlled from Manchester.
