East Tanfield
The southern terminus of the Tanfield Railway at East Tanfield in May 2006, with temporary Portakabins in use and a line of wagons occupying the sidings on the west side of the station. The upper photograph is a general view of the location looking north. The lower is a view along the platform showing various vehicles ranging from modern (relatively speaking) former NCB stock to a wooden ex-Bowes Railway coal wagon second from the camera.
