Llanrwst

The sylvan setting of Llanrwst station seen in October 2017. The line had reopened that day after hurricane Ophelia had caused flooding and damage to the Ffestiniog Tunnel. In the left foreground can be seen part of a large branch from an ancient tree broken off by the wind which had been blocking the path earlier. Some time before a train was due, a group of local youths could be seen gathered in the shelter but my suspicions were entirely wrong - they formed a team to lift the heavy obstacle to the side and clear of the station approach.
