Visby

This shot shows the 'deck' of the bridge shown in Colin's view from the hotel see image 60766. The top of the stone abutments and the handrails seem to be original but the wooden 'deck' elements are replacements. The route of the railway can be traced in the grass for some distance in both directions. This branch of Gotlands Jarnväg an 891mm gauge railway, was on its way down to the harbour; the location is above the left hand '47' where the line crosses a burn flowing into the bay see http://www.justus2.se/rwy/zigzag/visby/zzvisby.htm
