Bolton
The station improvement works at Bolton are progressing very well and this is before the closure from 12 to 27 August. The track has been re-instated through platform 5 and a new footbridge has appeared at the south end of the platform. It is understood that platform 5 will be brought into service at the end of August when platform 4 will close for alterations to be carried out in preparation for electrification. This view is from Orlando St bridge.
