Tweedsmuir Church

Sadly, not all made it to the Crook Inn on those infamous Friday nights in the early 1900s. The Talla Memorial stone, stands near the main gate of Tweedsmuir churchyard. The inscription reads: 'To the memory of the men who died during the progress of the Talla water works 1895-1905 of whom over 30 are interred in this churchyard. Erected by their fellow-workmen and others.' See image 6067
