Edinburgh Waverley
Looking east over the Royal Mail yard alongside Calton Road in 1985 as a southbound train prepares to leave platform 1. The Royal Mail depot at Waverley occupies the north east corner of the station just off to the right, with an overhead conveyor bringing in mail bags from the lower level of the GPO building behind the camera. Note the closed footbridge which once linked Calton Road and Jeffrey Street see image 9634.
