Triberg

A DB ballast train weaves its way north towards Triberg on the
Schwarzwaldbahn on 1st June, part-way along the dramatic looping alignment required for the railway to reach the watershed between rivers flowing to the Rhine and to the Danube. The photographer took this shot from the purpose-built panoramic viewpoint shown on the side of the loco in See image 59822, and he saw the ballast train at four different locations above and
below him within the space of less than 10 minutes (but poor light precluded
more than one decent shot).
