Forfar [2nd]

View to Aberdeen at Forfar in 1996. A single portion of platform remained - a short apparently island platform. This was on the bridge over North Street. I couldn't understand the remains until looking at a map. The Aberdeen platform had been to the left, the Perth platform was on the left of the island and the right side of the 'island' was the bay platform at the west end of the station. This part of the Perth platform had been in timber over the roadway below the bridge - nothing remained. The bridge has since been removed and probably nothing now remains of the passenger station.
Gary Straiton notes 'The dock at the south end of Forfar station was called locally the 'London dock'. At some point direct carriages were docked here ... obviously!'
