Shawfair
ScotRail 158731 approaching Shawfair from the south on a dismal 15 December 2016 with the 1126 Tweedbank – Edinburgh Waverley. The train has just passed below the Edinburgh City Bypass and is on the double track section between Kings Gate and Newcraighall South approximately half a mile south of Shawfair station. The parallel road traffic is on the rerouted A6106, with Sheriffhall Roundabout in the right background. Photograph taken from the new A6106 overbridge.
