Edinburgh Princes Street

Caught in time: it's 1968 but Princes Street station (closed 1965) still has a presence, but demolition awaits. Once the goods shed was cleared away the West Approach Road opened on the trackbed as far as Ardmillan and still makes a useful urban fastway. Edinburgensians can amuse themselves by spotting bygones. Contributor's collection. Crown Copyright.
