Veteran SBB electric 11244 departs from Locarno with the Wilhelm Tell Express to Lucerne in June 2016. This runs hourly via the scenic Gotthard Pass (Note the second coach is an observation car) and will continue until the Gotthard Base Tunnel opens to passenger trains in late 2016.
