St Pancras

Gasholder No 8, last monument to the Imperial Gas, Light & Coke Company, still standing after more than 150 years. The iconic structure is seen looking west along Goods Way in July 2005. In the background work is in full swing on the transformation and expansion of St Pancras station, from Mr Barlow's roof on the left to the new domestic platforms up ahead. No 8 was removed in 2011 and, following refurbishment, relocated alongside the Regents Canal near St Pancras Basin in what is now Gasholder Park.
