Helmsley
View north east to the end of the down platform of the former Helmsley station, and of Riccal Drive which runs along the trackbed for some 50 metres before the trackbed turns east towards Kirbymoorside. The line was lifted in 1965, but both platforms are still extant from near the station building heading north, but whereas the up side platform edge is buried beneath undergrowth the down side brick edging is mostly exposed. The trackbed is covered by assorted plants and extensive tree growth.
