Cadder Pit No 2

This 1999 view shows the remains of the railway bridge over the Forth and Clyde Canal at Cadder Pits which served the various pits on either side of the canal. A long straggling branch, extended progressively west over several years and then progressively cut back, ran from here to what became Cadder Marshalling Yard. The distant bridge was a temporary works access bridge.
