Renfrew Ferry

D.C.M.V. Renfrew (II), the last Clyde chain operated ferry, was diesel-electric and introduced in 1952. Here she is seen crossing the Clyde from Yoker to Renfrew in 1986. The Stone Manganese Marine Limited works is in the background on the north bank. Renfrew Wharf station was not far west of the ferry.
