Bishopbriggs Oil Depot

6851+6850 with a tank train at Bishopbriggs oil terminal on a sunny evening in 1971. On the left is the E&G main line, where 5406 is passing with a westbound freight. 6851 is notable for having hauled the last down Anglo-Scottish freight over the Waverley Route (the 08.30 Kingmoor-Millerhill) on Saturday 4th January 1969. Delivered new from the Vulcan Foundry to Cardiff Canton in July 1963 it was later renumbered 37667 and eventually became part of the DRS fleet. See image 51804
