Gleneagles

Minister for Transport and Islands, Derek Mackay, formally launched the Strathallan Community Rail Partnership today. The announcement was made at Gleneagles Station, which benefitted from a recent £7 million upgrade funded by Scottish Government, Tactran and Perth and Kinross Council ahead of the 2014 Ryder Cup. Building on this successful event the venue was also awarded the rights to host Solheim Cup in 2019.

This new partnership, funded by Transport Scotland and the Abellio ScotRail franchise, aims to foster greater community engagement between the railway, the public and local business along the Bridge of Allan – Gleneagles corridor.
