Whitwick

This eerie view looks towards Loughborough. The trackbed on either side of the station see image 48830 is a promising-looking tarmacked path; but is interrupted by a road on the Nuneaton side and by private property on the Loughborough side. So this section can be walked for about a mile. The sodium-lit footpath leads to an old church on the left and to housing on the right. The solum runs along the top of the elongated abutment on the left.
