Among the several hundred memorials at the National Memorial Arboretum near Alrewas is this one, dedicated to the Railway Industry. At one end are crests of the GWR, LNER and British Railways. At the other are those of the LMS, SR and British Rail and a rather fine sculpture of a Stanier 8F 2-8-0 stands on top of the plinth.
