Cerbere
A high level view north east over a quiet Cerbere station on a late July evening, with the area signal box in centre of view, two SNCF electric locos stabled between the station and yard and two 27500 class EMUs stabled by an external platform. The lines to the bottom right are merging shortly before entering the tunnel that passes below the hills forming the border between France and Spain, running through to Portbau. Cerbere Station sits on the eastern face of a triangle that primarily serves the transhipment yard that is mainly hidden from view. Tracks used for cross border freight workings between the yards at Cerbere and Portbau can just be seen at bottom right before they enter the tunnel.
