Gorton Bothy

The shepherd's cottage at Gorton where, in 1889, Charles Forman, James Bulloch, J.E. Harrison, John Bett, Major Martin and N.B. McKenzie were to take shelter after the party walking the route of the prospective West Highland Railway got into difficulties. The cottage is now a bothy. The rising ground to the right is Meall a Ghortain, the name being adopted for both the cottage and station.
