Zwiesel
An interesting network of branch lines radiates northwards from Plattling on the Passau-Regensburg main line, now operated on a franchise basis by the private Waldbahn company. The heart of this network in the Bayerischer Wald (Bavarian Forest) is at Zwiesel - seen here on 17th June - where branches radiate to Bodenmais and Grafenau, the main spine continuing north to the Czech border at Bayerisch Eisenstein, then onwards to Pilsen (as in the beer).
