Byker
Looking back from a passing southbound train on the ECML towards Riverside Junction and the platforms of the closed Byker Station in the summer of 1985. The Riverside Branch was closed to passengers on 23 July 1973 but this end of the loop was retained to serve an industrial customer until 1988. [Ref query 4733]
