Cornbrook Viaduct

Driver's view from a Metrolink service running on to the (1877) Cornbrook Viaduct. To the right are the lower main line tracks on the original Castlefield Viaduct and Castlefield Junction where the trams are carried over the line to Ordsall. To the left, hidden by the lattice, is the now disused Castlefield (1894) Viaduct. Both the high level bridges led to Manchester Central, which can just be seen to the right of the Beetham Tower.
