Mirfield
Mirfield shed was a typical LMS rebuild of an ex-L&YR standard shed, with a single roof pitch over each shed road and the original north light pattern roof retained over workshops and stores to one side. Closed in April 1967, the buildings were still substantially intact over six years later. Photographed from Woodend Road on the south side of the Calder Valley main-line.
