Newton Stewart
A busy scene at Newton Stewart on 15 April 1963 with Jubilee 45588 Kashmir preparing to leave with 'Scottish Rambler No 2' for Stranraer Town. In the centre Caley 'Jumbo' 57375 has recently returned with the special from visits to Whithorn and Garlieston. Over on the left Ivatt 2-6-0 46467 is standby locomotive, while in the background a Black 5 has halted in the loop with an eastbound freight.
