Grosmont
Hunslet 1944 built ex WD J94 132 Sapper, at Grosmont on 30 November on the rear of a recently returned 11.45 7 coach 'Santa Special'. After being checked for water it was then uncoupled and taken to the shed for a top up before taking out the 13.45 working, ably assisted by standard 4 2-6-0 76079, which provided most of the propulsion up the southbound gradients from the rear of the train.
