Hurlford Shed

One of the Pickersgill Caledonian 0-4-4 tank locomotives built primarily for banking duties, no 55240, standing out of use in the shed yard at Hurlford on 17 April 1962. Withdrawn from Ayr shed some 9 months earlier, 55240 met its end at Connels of Coatbridge in October 1963.
