A Blackpool to York service calls at Burnley Manchester Road on 18 August 2014. The new station building is reported to be complete but is not being opened until the start of the Todmorden curve services to Manchester. At the time of writing this could still be some months away because of issues with rolling stock, train crew, signalling...etc. Latest suggestion is that services will start in 2015.
